As a principal in AmeriSouth Auction, Inc. he has successfully assisted families and businesses in helping to liquidate their properties using the auction method. He previously has eight years experience in dealing with buyers and sellers in conventional real estate sales. He has successfully completed transactions with various owners and tenants such as Compass Bank, Regions Bank, Family Security Credit Union, WW Grainger, Check Into Cash, and Morgan County. His skills and ability to create unique solutions for owners shows in his tract record of consummating the most complicated real estate transactions of every nature. His specialty is marketing commercial property and rural farm land.
Em is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Finance. He has earned the highly coveted Certified Commercial Investment Member Degree (CCIM). For more than 30 years, CCIMs have been recognized for their expertise in commercial investment real estate. The network consists of more than 8,000 professionals backed by the industries most challenging educational curriculum. This network is invaluable in its ability to meet a client’s need across town or across the globe.

Bryan Knox , AAL #1587
bknox@amerisouthauctions.comBryan is our principal auctioneer and coordinates the auction marketing for Amerisouth. Bryan is the 2007 International Auctioneer Championship Grand Champion, winning against a field of over 60 auctioneers from all over the world. In addition to this, he is also the 2001 State Bid Calling Grand Champion for the state of Alabama.
Because of his accomplishments in the auction industry, Bryan has been featured on Public Radio as well as the new Auction Network. Bryan has also been on the cover of Auctioneer magazine and was the subject of feature articles in The Christian Science Monitor, The Birmingham News, The Decatur Daily and numerous local newspapers.
Bryan is currently enrolled in the prestigious Certified Auctioneers Institute program at Indiana University, a three-year program designed for leaders in the industry and auction firm decision-makers. The CAI is an executive development program focused on developing the skills and providing the tools necessary to run a top-notch auction firm.
Along with his responsibilities at Amerisouth, Bryan is giving back to the auction industry he loves as an instructor at Nashville Auction School, the same auction school that helped to launch his own career. Bryan has also served in various positions on the board of the Alabama Auctioneers Association working to improve auction law and to educate the public as to the benefits of selling their assets using the auction method of marketing.

George Barran, AAL #2729
gbarran@gatewaycommercial.netGeorge entered into the auction business as a licensed real estate broker. Since becoming an apprentice auctioneer in 2004, he has successfully assisted families and businesses in helping to liquidate their properties using the auction method. He previously has four years in the real estate and auction business and has successfully completed transactions with various owners and tenants such as Central Baptist Church, Benders Gym, Aaron’s, Pine Hill Day Camp, Little Caesars Pizza, and the North Alabama Industrial Development. His specialty is marketing commercial property, hunting tracts and rural farmland.
George is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce & Business Administration along with a concentration of Finance in Real Estate. He is also a graduate of the Nashville Auction School. Currently, he is working toward earning the highly coveted Certified Commercial Investment Member Degree (CCIM), as well as the Certified Auctioneers Institute Degree (CAI). As a member of both the National Auctioneers Association and the Alabama Auctioneers Association, he takes pride in his work with the auction industry and loves everything about the business.
In his spare time, George enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He is an avid hunter and enjoys managing farmland for wildlife. He is a member of First Bible Church in Decatur.

Don Shelton, AAL#5074
sheltonz@bellsouth.netAmerisouth Auctions is thrilled to welcome Don Shelton as a wonderful addition to our staff. Don brings to Amerisouth over 30 years of sales and business management experience. Based in Moulton, Alabama Don was founder and owner of Graphic Specialties, which was sold after 20 successful years of operation. He is a licensed auctioneer and real estate agent focused on providing professional service to his clients and customers.
Don is a graduate of the Nashville Auction School and a member of the National Auctioneers Association. He is very active in his community and has served as president of the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, working closely with businesses and industries in the area.
Don will be primarily responsible for dealing with rural farm sales, residential land sales and recreational property.

Michael Nance , AAL #2772
michael@gatewaycommercial.netMichael joined Amerisouth in 2005 as an auction assistant. In 2006, he became a licensed Real Estate Agent as well as an Apprentice Auctioneer. Michael brings years of experience and expertise in dealing with recreational property. Being an avid outdoorsman enables him to proficiently recognize and create value for raw land and hunting tracts. His skilled knowledge of the land together with his professional approach to the auction industry makes him an essential part of our team here at Amerisouth.
Michael is in charge of several of our daily operations including website management, advertising, marketing packages, as well as auction site setup.
